Which vector-borne diseases do you most commonly see in your practice? And how do you treat them? Do you prefer prescribing spot-on, tablets or collars? These and other questions are part of the EU survey on “Veterinarians’ attitudes and perceptions of the environmental impact of drugs prescribed for prevention and treatment of Parasitic Vector-borne Diseases”. All vets are invited to participate.
Studying the potential environmental impact
According to One Health Drugs, goal of the survey is to ‘explore veterinary professionals' practice regarding One Health approach to parasitic vector-borne diseases affecting animals,’ and to study ‘the potential environmental impact of veterinary medications used for their prevention and treatment.’ The survey is part of the EU-funded Cost Action 21111.
Anonymous and in 30 languages
The (anonymous) survey is available until end November in 30 languages and is open to all veterinary professionals world-wide, including vets working in aquaculture, wildlife and academia. The survey was developed by Prof. Maria Paola Costi, Cost Action chair in collaboration with Prof. Harry De Koning and Clara Lima DVM.
