We are thrilled to announce the launch of a new initiative by the FVE/UEVP Medicines Working Group: a comprehensive map of essential veterinary medicines across Europe! We are kicking things off with sheep and goats, and we’re on the lookout for valuable input from top experts in the field of small ruminant medicines from across Europe!
It is clear that many European countries are facing a critical lack of availability of veterinary medicines, particularly for minor species and minor uses. Some medicines are authorised on the market in some countries, while others are entirely lacking. These gaps directly impact animal health, welfare, veterinary public health and the profitability of farmers.
Take our short survey to provide us with initial field experience regarding the use of medicines for sheep and goats. This information will guide the work further along.
The survey will accept answers until 30 June 2025. Data will be handled anonymously and in line with the EU GDPR rules.
