The UEVP board is deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of two esteemed colleagues.

Franz-Josef Jäger (1946), cattle practitioner from the Zillertal in Tyrol, Austria, and former President of the Austrian Chamber of Veterinarians (ÖTK, 1990–2003). He was an active delegate of the FVE, and host of the 1997 summer general assembly in Vienna. He served as UEVP vice president from 1995 to 1999 and is mostly remembered for his warmth, integrity and dedication to the profession. More here.

Bartomeu Anguera Sansó (1935), president of the Veterinary Chamber of the Balearic Islands (COVIB) for 25 years. He also held key public roles in animal health and livestock development and was vice president of the Consejo General de Colegios Veterinarios de España (COLVET), serving the profession with great distinction. He was also an active and well-known FVE delegate for many years. More here.
