There are four categories: large clinical workplaces, small-to-medium clinical workplaces, large non-clinical workplaces and small-to-medium non-clinical workplaces.
Recognising exceptional workplaces
These awards ‘recognise exceptional veterinary workplaces that prioritise mental well-being, professional engagement, and a positive working environment, while also providing excellent staff conditions and demonstrating strong leadership.’ For examples and tips from past winners, see the dedicated web page.
A VetJoy initiative
The Great Veterinary Workplace Awards is an initiative of VetJoy – jointly organised by Fecava, IVSA and FVE, with the support of Zoetis – which aims to improve mental wellbeing in the profession. Other VetJoy initiatives include career mentorships, team coaching vouchers, vet-for-a-day programmes and research grants on diversity, equity and inclusiveness in the veterinary profession.
