The second funding round of the 2026 VetJoy Team Coaching Voucher Programme opened on 1 July, offering veterinary workplaces up to €2,000 to strengthen team wellbeing through tailored coaching.
Supporting healthier veterinary workplaces
The programme ‘helps veterinary teams create more respectful, inclusive and psychologically safe workplaces by improving communication, collaboration and staff wellbeing.’ Coaching is delivered by VetJoy-approved coaches and is tailored to each workplace's needs. Sessions focus on team development rather than individual coaching and can be delivered over one to three working days, preferably in person.
Who can apply?
Eligible workplaces include all sectors of the veterinary profession – from clinical practice and research to education, food safety and public health – provided that vets make up the majority of the workforce. All team members, including veterinary nurses, practice managers, receptionists and support staff, are encouraged to participate.
Focus on first-time and non-clinical applicants
The programme offers 20 vouchers per year, split across two funding rounds, with each voucher worth up to €2,000. In 2026, VetJoy is placing particular emphasis on supporting non-clinical veterinary workplaces and organisations in Southern and Eastern Europe, where participation has so far been limited. To ensure broad geographical reach, part of the funding is reserved for first-time participating countries and non-clinical settings.
Terms and conditions
Applications must use a coach listed in the VetJoy directory, and participating teams are asked to provide feedback and a short testimonial to help share experiences and promote best practices across the European veterinary community.
VetJoy provides mental health resources, career mentorship and well-being support for veterinary professionals. It is a joint initiative of the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE), the Federation of European Companion Animal Veterinary Associations (Fecava) and the International Veterinary Students’ Association (IVSA).
