The 13th Leipzig Veterinary Congress, held 15-17 January, attracted 7,400 veterinarians, veterinary assistants and students from all parts of the veterinary profession, making it one of Europe’s largest veterinary events. The congress also hosted 580 speakers, including 100 from abroad, while 352 exhibitors from 20 countries presented their products, services and technologies at the sold-out ‘Vetexpo Europe’ trade show.

Flagship event to expand internationally

‘The Leipzig Veterinary Congress is a flagship event for vets from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and beyond,’ commented Volker Moser, UEVP president, who attended the event, adding that he strongly welcomed the decision to further expand the congress internationally. ‘Creating spaces for cross-border exchange is essential if we want to address shared European challenges in animal health, public health and sustainability.’

Held every two years, the next Leipzig Veterinary Congress will take place on 20-22 January 2028.
