Animal Health Visits – their minimum requirements and the latest developments – are the topic of the upcoming 1.5-hour webinar hosted by the FVE on Friday 7 November (14:00 CET), together with representatives of European animal health organisations (FESASS), of European farmers and their cooperatives (COPA COGECA).

Encouraging the uptake of Animal Health Visits

As its title suggests, the webinar “Strengthening Preventive Animal Health: Collaborative Insights on Animal Health Visits” will focus on animal health visits, as defined by Article 25 of the Animal Health Law (Regulation 429/2016). The webinar aims to encourage the uptake of these visits, with a focus on biosecurity measures and preventive healthcare.

Collaboration across sectors

It will also highlight how collaboration across sectors can benefit animal health, animal welfare and veterinary public health. Presentation will be heard from Barbara Logar (DG SANTE Animal Health Unit), Louise Lemming (Danish Council Presidency) and Nancy De Briyne (FVE executive director), who will present the FVE Report on the current AHV Situation Across Europe.

Best practice examples and registration

‘Best practice’ examples will be presented by Miguel Angel Higuera (COPA-COGECA), Simone Steiner (FESASS) and Jane Clark (FVE Vice-President), who will also moderate the panel discussion. Find out more here and register for the webinar here.
