On 14 April 2025, the European Commission published an implementing act outlining emergency measures in response to the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease.
The following measures have been established:
- In Slovakia, emergency measures for the Bratislava region, close to the border with Hungary.
Considering the situation, Hungary and Slovakia (as well as Austria) currently implement necessary disease control measures in the regulated zones, including protection and surveillance areas, to prevent the further spread of this disease.
