Vets across Europe are experiencing high levels of stress, which can lead to burnout and may affect the care they provide to animals. Supporting the well-being of veterinary teams is essential for a sustainable profession. Through its Team coaching vouchers, VetJoy helps empower veterinary workplaces to create environments where every team member feels valued, respected and supported. Veterinary workplaces across Europe can now apply for Team coaching vouchers for mental well-being coaching.

Focus on Southern and Eastern Europe

This is how it works: first, veterinary teams can search the VetJoy database to find a coach meeting their needs. Next, contact the coach and plan a one-to-three-day session (check the 2026 terms of reference). Step three, share the details of the planned coaching on the application form to earmark a voucher. VetJoy points out that in 2026, 50% of the funds will be allocated to veterinary workplaces in countries which have not yet participated (mainly in southern and eastern Europe) and 25% of the funds will go to non-clinical workplaces.

In 2025, 31 veterinary teams from nine countries benefited

The final step is submitting the reimbursement form after the session. The vouchers are intended to support veterinary workplaces that demonstrate a clear need for coaching support, particularly those that would not reasonably be able to cover such services through their own financial resources. In 2025, 31 veterinary teams across nine European countries received vouchers for professional team coaching. Participating teams reported positive results, particularly regarding communication and team dynamics. More information on the programme’s impact can be found in the 2024 and 2025 evaluation reports.
