The Sliven region in Bulgaria, and the regional units of Evros, Magnesia, Rhodope, Xanthi, Etolia-Acarnania, Heraklion, Evia and Phocis in Greece are facing new outbreaks of Sheep and Goat pox virus disease. Both countries are taking the necessary measures to combat the disease, including the establishment of protection and surveillance zones around the affected areas.
