On 9 April 2025, the European Commission published an implementing act concerning certain emergency measures in relation to outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza in certain Member States.
The following measures have been established :
- In Hungary, emergency measures are in effect for the Bács-Kiskun County and the Csongrád-Csanád County.
- In Germany, emergency measures are in effect in the state of Sachsen-Anhalt.
- In Poland, emergency measures are in effect in voivodeships of Mazowieckie Warmińsko-Mazurskieand, and Wielkopolskie.
- In Denmark, emergency measures are in effect in the municipality of Roskilde.
Denmark, Germany, Hungary and Poland have taken the disease control measures required, including the establishment of protection and surveillance zones around the outbreaks.
