Happy holidays

Dear UEVP members, dear colleagues,

As we reach the end of this year, I would like to address you personally once again. This message builds on the spirit of last year’s address, and reflects the experiences, challenges and progress we have shared over the past months.

A challenging year – and real progress

The year behind us has not been an easy one. Our profession continues to face increasing expectations, political and economic pressures, and significant structural change across Europe. Yet, as we reflect on the past months, we can do so with gratitude and with confidence: we have achieved a great deal, and we have grown closer as a UEVP community.

Working together makes the difference

Our internal cooperation has strengthened, dialogue between countries has become more open and constructive, and our common positions clearer. I am particularly grateful for the close, trust-based cooperation with the FVE – its Board, its President and the dedicated FVE Office team. This partnership shows what can be achieved when we work together with respect, professionalism and shared purpose.

Thank you for your engagement

My sincere thanks go to all of you – for your membership, your trust in the UEVP and your commitment, whether visible or behind the scenes. An organisation like ours is shaped not by its structures alone, but by the people who give it life.

Looking ahead with confidence

The coming year will undoubtedly bring new challenges. But I am convinced that if we remain united, listen to one another, and speak with a clear, strong and common voice, we will be heard – and we will help shape the future of our profession.

Wishing you a peaceful festive season

For the year ahead, I wish us confidence, mutual trust and the courage to take responsibility. Let us continue to work together, support one another and actively contribute to shaping the future of our profession across Europe.

On behalf of the entire UEVP board, I wish you and your families a peaceful Christmas, moments of rest and reflection – and a New Year filled with health, hope and shared success.

With warm and collegial regards,

Volker Moser, UEVP President
